One thing strange occurred in the restaurant last week. The gentleman lined up right in front of me — mid-40s, suit, bad haircut — ordered a latte. “Whole milk,” he said before changing to half and half, then almond milk. “For here,” he mumbled, then shook his head. “No. To get.”
